Should I buy Travel Protection?

We strongly recommend travel insurance for all passengers in your party.  If in the event that you or someone in your family has to cancel a cruise that is under penalty phase, you may lose a portion or all of your cruise fare depending on the timing of the event. Most travelers fail to recognize that the majority of US insurance companies do not cover any medical expenses incurred while in a foreign country.  Because the majority of all cruise ships are flagships of foreign countries you are considered to be on foreign soil the moment you step foot on the ship.  In the event of an injury or illness while on board that the ship that the ship’s medical personnel are not equipped to handle, you may have to be air lifted to the nearest town.  This can be extremely costly. In addition, missed connections for the airlines due to mechanical breakdown or weather are not the responsibility of the cruise line.  If this happens, you are responsible to get yourself to the next port of call to meet the ship in order to get on board. Travel insurance covers all of these issues and gives you the piece of mind that you will be able to truly relax and enjoy your vacation!
